8 Years, 8 Months & 17 Days

That is how long it took Caitlin to reach 50 pounds! It's official - we were at the doctor's office yesterday.

In honor of her weighty achievement, I'll post a video she's all excited about. A local musician was playing his 7 year old daughter's favorite part of Taylor Swift's "Love Story" when he realized a striking resemblance to Coldplay's "Viva La Vida." Check it out!

Hey Baby Hey Baby Hey!

I would like to thank Ally for doing the sell job on the No Doubt concert. We went last night and it was awesome! It was definitely worth being tired this morning.

Ally may have been able to see Tiger Woods when she went to their concert, but we got to sing "Happy Birthday" to Kingston.

Memorial Day

For once, I wasn't totally late this year. Here's a couple of pictures from the cemetery this year.

Enjoy your day!

We had a great time last night at Vickie's "surprise" party. Unfortunately, the surprise was let out of the bag by an untimely RSVP, but it was fun all the same! Tracy was supervising the craft table - the girls were making wands.
Harper, Caitlin and Ellie were visions in pink.
Will, Keith and Caitlin awaiting the throw by Austin.
Harper and Brad were swordfighting with the bubble wands. Moments later, Brad's death scene was very convincing.
The girls!

We had a sudden downpour towards the end of the night and lo and behold - there is Austin running around outside right in the middle of it! You may want to put on your sunglasses before gazing upon his soggy pastiness.

Where were you?

Do you know where you were 15 years ago today? I know where I was. I was sitting by myself in a white dress wondering if the Jazz/Denver game would EVER get over so I could get hitched. Shame on Mom for jinxing the Jazz by saying the series would NEVER go 7 games, but there we were... waiting for game 7 to end so we could get on with the festivities. Of course, I wasn't able to actually watch the game - I was getting updates periodically telling me how much time was left in the game (of course 2 minutes in NBA time is like an hour). It all turned out well though, the Jazz won and Brian and I said "I do."

So as I was reading the paper this morning, I had a lovely surprise as I finished one of the sections. I closed the section to find this full page add for "New Moon." I guess it's never to early to advertise since according to my counter, we have 185 days to go. The advertisement was from our local Megaplex Theatres - I have a feeling they'll recoup their advertising budget on this movie. I know I'll be there at midnight again!

The cell phone photo doesn't do the new poster justice, so here it is in it's high pixel glory. Taylor Lautner must be wearing a pair of Tom Cruise's shoes to be as tall as Rob P., but that's ok.

Hello. My name is Jerlynne. I used to be a blogger. I've been away for a while.

I did have some valid reasons for my absence...

10. I've been hypnotized into submission by Gilles' hips on DWTS (even if he IS dancing with "the muppet"). I was going to post a scene from "Sex and the City," but I didn't want my blog to be flagged as "adult content."

9. I've been rebuilding my relationship with Target. Now that the taxes are paid, I think we can start seeing each other again. We're taking it slow.

8. I've been discovering the pleasure that is mother/daughter pedicures.
7. I've been excercising instead of blogging (I am SOOOO kidding on this one).

6. I've been spending time with my family in Park City (those are my crazy kids swimming in the outdoor pool while it is snowing). This is, of course, the day before they announced the Swine Flu has hit Utah - specifically Park City. So now I've been stocking up on hand sanitizer (really - you know that I have).
5. I've been memorizing the soundtrack to Wicked and counting the days!

4. I have been devastated by the realization that my son is addicted to his phone - he was texting when I took this picture. HE COULDN'T STOP FOR 5 MINUTES!
3. I've been channeling my inner Edward and reading your minds regarding my lack of posting. Might I say that some of you need to clean up your language?

2. I've been cowering in fear, unable to function, thinking that Danny Gokey would be in the finals of American Idol. My fears are now unfounded and I am now free to re-join the living.

1. I've been cursing the darn bleepity bleeps who created computer viruses! Sorry for the language - I learned it from you.
