My green notes for today... we dragged all our old TV's, computer monitors and stereo equipment from the basement and dropped them off to be recycled today. It filled Brian's car.
I made the kids clean out the car yesterday and they were complaining that there weren't any plastic grocery bags (or even Target bags) to use as garbage bags. I can't even open the car door at the grocery store without the kids reminding me to grab my bags out of the back (as if I'd forget - scratch that... they are probably reminding me so they don't have to run back out to the car to get them).
Now if we could just stop using plastic water bottles (I guess that's the goal for the upcoming year).

Are you KIDDING me?!
Of course, it is for the ENTIRE month of June. Do you think if I send the juror questionnaire in with copies of my flight reservations and the confirmation for the "Wicked" tickets, they'll show mercy? Yeah - probably not.
The week isn't over, so it could always get worse (I am teaching this Sunday). I'm asking you all to join hands and sing Kumbaya for me. Maybe that will help.

We had a busy long weekend. Caitlin & I had a busy day shopping last Thursday, plus we met Brian for lunch (since he had to work). Caitlin had some very important calls to make on her way to Grandma's on Friday. At least she had her liquid sustenance (she actually drank all her cocoa this time!).

Baseball season has started again. We didn't know if it would considering the 5 inches of snow we woke up to 2 days ago, but it was 62 degrees and sunny today - what a treat!! On top of that, Austin's team won (which is SO much better than losing). Since I seem to have a full time job scoring baseball games, I didn't get a single picture (I hate being the "home team official book" - I was quite rusty while trying to remember what number the left fielder is). Since there were no photos this evening, I thought I'd post a little flashback to 8 years ago when our little Austin played for the Red Sox. I love seeing Austin in this uniform (anything but a Yankees uniform!).
Although Austin doesn't quite have the height or girth of most of the players in this league, he really holds his own. He played shortstop the entire game, was the lead-off hitter and went 2 for 3 for the night (including a double). Here's hoping for a good season!
