I'll take potpourri for $100 Alex...

Random stuff from the last couple of weeks.... We finally got in to see Grandma and Grandpa in their new digs. It was great to see them! Caitlin learned the hard way about Grandpa's "rib counting." Some things just never change!
Keep dreaming Austin!
Keep dreaming Brian! Remember, we're a "Honda" family (although we had a nice replacement for the Accord for one night).
Can your car do this with the touch of a button? I don't think this option comes standard on most Honda's. That little button came in handy when Brian was giving rides to the entire neighborhood (well, maybe not the ENTIRE neighborhood) and it started to rain.

8.9.10

Attention blog readers... SLACKER MOM ALERT!!! Yes, it's been a week since Caitlin's birthday and has there been even a peep on the blog? Uh... no. There are several things I could blame - prepping for my RS lesson, being gone every single night last week, but I think I'm going with the "hangover" from Caitlin's birthWEEK's celebrations. I say birthWEEK because it took about a week to celebrate her birthday!

The party started when Aunt Teri and Uncle Trace came to town - let the celebratory spoiling commence! Add a shopping trip reminicent of Julia Roberts in "Pretty Woman" (minus the whole hooker angle) at the local Justice store to pick out her birthday outfit, cough cough, er wardrobe. Also add a special round of golf and a barbecue in her honor and you'll understand the birthWEEK hangover.

That brings us to 8.9.10! We started off Catie's 10th birthDAY with an early morning trip to Ruth's Diner for breakfast (yes, Caitlin's "sad eyes" were effective in getting both Mom and Dad to take a vacation day off work).

Then we had the birthDAY party at Boondocks. I do believe a fun time was had by all (judging by the difficulty I had getting them all rounded up to leave).
Brian took a break from soaking random stranger's children to attack his own.
Um... could we have quiet in the 4D theater? That would be a "no."

Austin, I know I'm your Mom and all, but you kind of got schooled in arcade ticket collecting by Davis there. You're not flipping me off, are you? Oh, all of your tickets are neatly folded in your other hand. Nice save.
And here is a photo that stikes fear in my heart now that Caitlin has reached double digits in age (as Jaedon tells his mom - they are "pre-teens" now) - WATCH THE ROAD AND NOT THE CAMERA! Everyone keeps telling me, "just wait until she's 16!" Now I have more reason to worry.
This probably won't come as a shock, but Caitlin is already planning next year's birthday party.
