13 Things about our 13-year-old:
13 Things about our 13-year-old:1. He CONSTANTLY makes noise – any kind of noise.
2. He goes to bed without being asked and immediately falls asleep.
3. He likes to dance, but we wish he wouldn’t.
4. He can tell the year, make and model of a car from 3 blocks away.
5. With the exceptions of cleaning up his own messes and not eating in the family room – if there is a rule, Austin will follow it (and get upset with anyone who doesn’t).
6. He LOVES watching the Simpson’s (yes – I’m a bad mom) and will rearrange his entire schedule to watch it.
7. Shocking revelation ... he is a picky eater (but he did just try his first hamburger - thanks In-n-Out!).
8. He can’t live without his phone because he texts CONSTANTLY (good thing for that unlimited plan he kept bugging me about).
9. Without any pushing and prodding from mom & dad, he gets straight A’s.
10. He LOVES sports - watching (everything from poker to extreme sports) and playing (baseball, golf, basketball, snowboarding, etc.).
11. He can't stand to see anyone being sad (even his little sister) - he gets all ferklempt.
12. When asked in 5th grade what he wanted to be when he grows up, he said, “centerfielder for the Yankees or a pro golfer.” When the teacher asked if those didn’t work out, what would he do? He carefully thought for a few moments and then said, “I’ll marry a rich woman.”
13. His only fault - he's a Yankees fan.
